Why does The Local Shoppe place a hold on the customer’s account?

When you use a debit, credit, or gift card at the pump, your financial institution may choose to place a hold on your account. This hold is normally released when the completed transaction is received by your financial institution. The release of the hold takes several days depending on your financial institution policy. Please follow up with your financial institution for more info.

How much can be held when a transaction is completed at the pump?

It depends on the financial institution but can be up to $100.00.

If I prepay inside The Local Shoppe will there be a hold on my account?

If the entire amount is not used that was prepaid, please allow your financial institution 72 hours for them to release the remaining funds.
